At the University of Melbourne there are a variety of payment methods available for fee payments. It's important to pay on time or overdue fee penalties will apply.

Paying your fees at Unimelb is easy

  • You can pay the following fees using the payment methods outlined below:
    • Tuition fees (subject fees)
    • Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)
    • Deposit (for international students only)
    • Overseas Student Health Cover (for international students only)
  • It's important to pay on time or overdue fee penalties will apply.

  • The following methods are available to pay your deposit or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
  • To use these methods you must be a commencing international student.

Overview

  • If you have an Australian bank account, you can pay your deposit and/or OSHC online using BPAY®.
  • Contact your bank or financial institution to find out how to make this payment from your Australian debit, savings or cheque transaction account.
  • No additional bank fees apply

Overview

  • You can pay your deposit and/or OSHC online using a credit card.
  • A non-refundable surcharge fee applies for all Visa and MasterCard payments. The surcharge fee is a straight pass through cost and the surcharge will be clearly displayed when you process your payment.
    • For Australian issued credit cards the surcharge is 0.4%.
    • For International issued credit cards the surcharge is 2.8%.

Overview

  • You can pay your deposit and/or OSHC using Western Union.
  • Western Union provide a foreign exchange service for credit card and Telegraphic Transfer to convert the foreign currency payment to Australian dollars.
  • Exchange rate conversion costs apply and will depend upon the amount transferred and currency used.

Telegraphic Transfer

Overview

  • You can pay your deposit and/or OSHC using Telegraphic Transfer.
  • Present the payment details (provided below) and Commonwealth Bank TT Letter to your bank to have them process the payment. Note that the field information is for bank use only.
  • You will need to add an extra $20 (AUD) to your payment to cover estimated bank charges.
  • Check your offer letter for your unique Account Number. Ensure you check this each time you make a payment, as your Account Number may change.
