Step 8: Attend Orientation

Congratulations! If you have accepted your offer and contacted your graduate school, you're ready to meet your community and start your Orientation.

Explore Orientation

Orientation events for graduate researchers include sessions on thesis writing, managing your candidature, advocacy, professional development services and getting help.

For more information, see our orientation and induction page.

Visit the Graduate Research Hub

The Graduate Research Hub is your central resource for information on your graduate research course, and covers things like working with your supervisor, reviewing your progress, writing your thesis, and getting support.

Connect with the Graduate Student Association

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is an independent student representative body, exclusively for graduate students and graduate researchers at the University of Melbourne. You are automatically entitled to be part of the GSA community as part of your graduate enrolment. You can visit the GSA website, subscribe to their newsletter, browse their exclusive graduate events and use their services and facilities in the 1888 Building.
