Resource Creation

Challenge your creativity and let your voice be heard by getting involved with design and co-creating resources

Digital resources for studying online

Student Partners have created a suite of digital resources for studying online: a webpage on email etiquette,a video and a web page with tips for learning from online recordings, and some video materials on managing time in online study. They also designed a survey for academic staff to determine needs, analysed this data and used it to inform development priorities.

University-wide academic integrity module

Student partners collaborated with Academic Skills staff to co-develop the Cornerstones of good scholarship module, which was launched in 2021. All first-year undergraduates complete this module as part of their core faculty-specific foundation subjects. On the back of the success of this module, we engaged with our Students as Partners again throughout 2023 to launch a re-designed graduate coursework equivalent in 2024.

How do I learn? Online tool

Student partners co-developed an online reflective learning tool, which seeks to promote a curious mindset about learning through a series of animated videos, a reflective quiz, recommended resources, and a series of motivational emails.

Video projects

Student partners co-designed and co-created a series of Academic Skills videos on team and group-workparticipating in tutorialstime and task managementways to improve your Englishintercultural communication and using digital tools with Academic Skills staff.

Academic Skills Hub projects

  1. Student partners co-designed and co-created a video to introduce the Hub and its content to students and provided their thoughts and advice on why and when to use it. This video is placed on the home page of the Hub.
  1. Students received training in Design Thinking to frame their feedback on the design of the Hub; this feedback will inform resource development to ensure the Hub reflects the student perspective.

Academic Skills Student Partners webpage

Student partners contributed their perspectives and research skills towards improving the webpages about this program.

"I take pride in my role as a Student Partner providing feedback on various modules in Academic Skills Hub. I’ve contributed feedback and design ideas into the prototyping of new learning modules. I am super excited and cannot wait to see what the final outcome will look like. I want students to try out the new modules and I am hopeful that they will gain something positive out of it while enjoying its interactive approach."
