Join us for the Virtual Careers Fair and Conference happening 2-3 March on our event platform to connect with employers. If you're a final year student who wants to boost your chances of securing a graduate role in 2022 this event is suitable for you!
Careers Fair exhibitors are mostly large organisations that are recruiting graduate roles with strict eligibility criteria. Be sure to check out the eligibility requirements for each organisation before connecting with them at the Fair.
There will be over 50 employers at the Fair, including:

- Victorian Government Graduate Program

How to prepare
Before the event
Attend a Prepare for the Fair event by registering for one of the below sessions:
Tuesday 23 February, 4-5pm
Thursday 25 February, 4-5pm
- Research employers and opportunities on the event platform
- Prepare your questions for employers and schedule your day to attend relevant presentations and networking sessions
- Review fair resources
On the day
- Attend the How to make the most of the Fair event, keynote and panel sessions
- Check out employer presentations and questions (via text or video chat)
- Join relevant discussion groups.
After the event
Map your 2021 career readiness plan, including applying for jobs, building experiences and networking, and practicing interview skills.

How do I access the virtual event?
Once you register on Careers Online, you will receive an email with the event access link which will open a week before the event. This link is unique and linked to your UoM account, so it should not be shared with others. The Virtual Careers Fair and Conference 2021 will be held on a web-based platform called InEvent.
For the best user experience
- Access the event platform from your laptop or desktop computer. Tablets (including iPads and Surface Pro) as well as phones will have reduced functionality.
- Use Google Chrome
Students in China or United Arab Emirates
You will require a VPN to access the platform. You can download FortiClient from your University of Melbourne student portal.
How will the virtual careers fair and information sessions work?
The virtual careers fair will take place from 11am – 2pm on each day. During this time, you will have the chance to watch employer presentations, chat to employers, view job opportunities and download further information (if available).
When you join the sessions, don’t worry- you won’t pop up on screen. You can put your hand up to join the video call or you can just continue using the chat box.
Find presentation times on the employer booth thumbnails and info sheet. If you miss a presentation, don’t worry! You can still join the chat and get your recruitment questions answered.

Can I come at any time?
Yes, you can come to any session, you don’t have to be online the whole time. If you miss a presentation, you can drop into employer sessions outside of the presentation times to ask questions.
I’m having problems accessing the platform
Once you register, you will receive an email with a link to the digital event platform. In that email you will also be able to view the event platform instructions. If you are still having trouble, please contact the events team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
