Staying safe and well on campus - Section contents
As we head into exam period and SWOT Vac, we would like to remind you of the services offered by the University to help you.
If you feel unsafe or see anything that seems wrong on campus, you can contact Security on 8344 6666 or Victoria Police on 000 for immediate response.
Trained security officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day. They can escort you to your car, public transport, colleges or other nearby locations. The security escort service is free – just call 1800 246 066.
The University’s Australian-first free ‘UniSafe’ phone app provides emergency contact details and safety information for all members of the University community. We also have blue ‘Emergency’ phones around campus.
If you, or anyone you know, are having a difficult or stressful time, there will be wellbeing stalls popping up around campus libraries during SWOT Vac. The University’s Safer Community Program can also provide support – call (03) 9035 8675 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Free counselling is also available.
