You're invited

The eagerly awaited launch of the Outdoor Gallery takes place this Monday and you're invited.

This creative space provides a permanent exhibition platform for University students to share their creativity, referencing the style of our vibrant Melbourne laneway culture.

It was through feedback provided by students during co-creation activities in 2016 that the Outdoor Gallery concept was conceived. Student’s wanted more opportunities to develop activities and spaces that students could have ownership of, to express and share their creativity and passions on campus.

A diverse program of Outdoor Gallery exhibitions is scheduled (see below) for the remainder of the year, as well as exciting student-led activation's planned for semester 2 that will seed the Precinct site as a space dedicated to improving the student experience.

The first exhibition to grace the walls of the Outdoor Gallery will showcase art created by Indigenous student artists from both the Parkville and Southbank campus.

Preceding National Reconciliation Week, the exhibition will feature two large paintings and a covers retrospective from the UMSU Indigenous publication, Under Bunjil. Monday's launch will also coincide with the release of the magazine's next edition, much to the excitement of Under Bunjil's editors Wunambi, Marley and Serena (pictured above).
