The New Student Precinct, in partnership with Next Wave, is proud to present the Arts Writing Mentorship Program 'Everyone is an arts writer'.

It aims to support students interested in writing by providing professional development, mentorship and engagement with peers and industry professionals, in partnership with University of Melbourne student publications.

Selected students will write a review or textual response to the artworks and public programs displayed around the New Student Precinct site on the Parkville campus. Mentees will also attend a curated excursion through Next Wave Festival and participate in a day-long writing workshop in June focusing on critical writing, editing, professional networks, access and cultural awareness in the field of art criticism and contemporary culture.

Seven mentorship places are available and applications are open to all University of Melbourne students. Applications close 14 May 2018.
