SUBJECT OVERVIEW

As an advanced seminar for Master of Construction Management students, the Risk in Construction subject exposed students to the various dimensions of risk management. The content of this subject ranges from studies of theoretical risk analysis techniques through to practical examples from industry, exploring the various risk management strategies, approaches, allowances and decisions that construction professionals must consider on the site.

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Students undertaking the subject in 2018 worked in groups to prepare and present a risk management plan for the Precinct’s Early and Enabling Works.  Students were asked to consider the various Project stakeholders and contractors when identifying and assessing risk, proposing mitigation strategies and management plans compliant with Australian and International Standards.



OPPORTUNITIES

This subject provides students with the opportunity to engage with the Project’s industry partners, applying academic learning in a practical workplace context.
