Accessing the Nanjing Study Hub
- Book your visit. You will be taken to the Eventbrite booking system where you can select your preferred space and time. After you select a space and time, a confirmation email will be sent to your student email with your booking details.
- Present your student card at the Study Hub. If you do not have your student card, you can show your National ID and a copy of your University of Melbourne Evidence of Enrolment.

Accessing the Study Hubs

How do I access a University of Melbourne Study Hub?
Once you arrive at the building entrance, you will be asked to show your University of Melbourne student card. If you do not have your student card, you can show your National ID and a copy of your Evidence of Enrolment on your device.
Students should be prepared to have their temperature checked and present their check-in confirmation before entering the Study Hub building.

How do I get an Evidence of Enrolment?
If you do not have your Evidence of Enrolment, you can request for a copy to be emailed to you.

Do I need to get a new Evidence of Enrolment every time I go to a University of Melbourne Study Hub?
No. You will need to download/print it just once, and this copy can then be used to verify you as a University of Melbourne student during subsequent visits.

What if I am unable to get an Evidence of Enrolment due to a system outage in the portal?
In case of my.unimelb system outage, students who cannot access their Evidence of Enrolment are advised to take a screenshot of their my.unimelb account homepage and present that as evidence of their enrolment. Please note that this alternative will only be accepted during the system outage period.

What type of spaces and amenities are available at the University of Melbourne Study Hubs?
All University of Melbourne Study Hubs offer a collaborative space with a modern and open floor plan. You will find informal study areas, individual and group study spaces.
A lounge area is available for when you want to take a break and/or connect with other University of Melbourne students.
University of Melbourne staff will be available at the Study Hub during the opening hours. They can provide support and advice as well as connect you with specific support services.

Is there any internet available at the Study Hubs?
Yes, all Study Hubs are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi access for all students.

What else can I do at the Study Hub?
Students are encouraged to visit their local Study Hub to not only study, but also connect with other students at the Study Hub. The spaces are designed to allow quiet study, collaborative work and discussion as well as access to student support services. A lounge area is available for when you wish to take a break.

Are printers available at the Study Hubs?
In the early days of operation, limited free printing may be available for students.

How can I book a space at a University of Melbourne Study Hub?
Based on your location, you can make a booking by clicking the ‘Book your visit now’ button. You will be taken to the Eventbrite booking system where you can select your preferred space and time. A confirmation email will be sent to your student email address with all the relevant details of your booking.

How can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
To make changes to your booking, please go to 'Order Summary' in the Registration Confirmation email and click 'View and manage your order online'. If you can’t find the confirmation email in your inbox, check your Spam folder in the mailbox.

Is a booking required to enter a University of Melbourne Study Hubs?
To effectively manage the space and meet the social distancing requirements, a booking must be made to enter a Study Hub.

Four types of bookable spaces are available. Food and beverages are not allowed except in the informal study spaces. Drinking water is allowed in all spaces.

Student Peer Leader Services
Your Student Peer Leaders at the UoM China Study Hubs Nanjing and Shenzhen and Study Melbourne Hub Shanghai work alongside professional staff to provide support and guidance to students. They are trained to provide navigation of enrolment and course planning enquiries, peer to peer careers and employability support, navigation of Academic Skills resources and other student experience services including Melbourne Talks, Exchange and Study Abroad, Ask Alumni and more!
In-person Student Peer Leader Services are offered at Nanjing and Shenzhen Hubs. We also offer virtual Student Peer Leader services for students located outside of Nanjing and Shenzhen, or for those who are unable to access the Hubs due to the current COVID restrictions.
One-on-one appointments
Follow the instructions below to have an in-person or online one-on-one chat with our Student Peer Leaders based in China and have your questions answered!
- Click on the "Book one-on-one appointment" button below and click on "Log in and book" on the new page. Login with your student details.
- On the booking page, select "New booking".
- Select "Student Peer Leader Service (China Hubs)" as the booking type and follow the prompts to complete booking.

You can also register for our small group sessions. All small group sessions are offered both in-person and online on a weekly basis.
