In an emergency

In the event of an emergency or critical incident where you cannot continue to stay at your approved accommodation, you should immediately contact University Security on 03 8344 6666 or 1800 246 066 (free call). They are available 24/7.

University Security

University Security patrols the campus 24/7. You will see them walking around, on bikes or in their cars.

There are blue help phones on campus that will connect you with University Security and activate CCTV cameras in the area where you are ringing from. Press the emergency button on the blue help phone to get things started.

Security guards can escort you to different parts of the University or to public transport nearby, if you are feeling unsafe. To book a security escort or to talk with a security guard call 03 8344 6666 or 1800 246 066 (free call).

Safer Community Program

The Safer Community Program provides support to students who have experienced discrimination, sexual assault, harassment, bullying or family/intimate partner violence.

The team at the Safer Community Program can talk to you about how to keep safe on and off-campus, and how to report concerning behaviour to the University or to Victoria Police.
