International students may be eligible for loans, grants or other types of financial assistance available through government and private programs in their home countries.
US Loan programs
The University of Melbourne does not participate in the Federal Student Aid (FSA) program administered by the United States Department of Education and is therefore unable to accept Direct Loan applications or in-school deferment requests.

Canadian citizens wishing to study at The University of Melbourne can access a range of student financial aid delivered through federal and provincial funding programs.

Lånekassen (Norway)
Eligible Norwegian students can apply for funding through the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).

Centrala Studiestödsnämnden (Sweden)
Eligible Swedish students can apply for funding to study at Melbourne through the National Board of Student Aid (Centrala Studiestödsnämnden).
