LMS assignments using Cadmus

Cadmus is an online assessment tool that is accessed within the LMS, and is used to complete and submit written exams. Here are some tips and advice for sitting your LMS Cadmus exam.

Finding your LMS Cadmus exam

Log into the LMS and look at your calendar. Your Cadmus exam will be entered on your calendar, and will include the due date and time of your exam.

  • Not available until / Locked until: This is the time and date when you will have access to your exam.
  • Due: This is the date and time your exam is due. You can submit your exam up to 30 minutes after the due date and time. However, if you submit your exam after the due date and time it will be marked as late.

You will only be able to submit the exam during the scheduled exam time slot. To view your exam timetable visit my.unimelb.

Completing your LMS Cadmus exam

Log into the LMS. Ensure that your personal calendar is visible in the LMS. If it isn't visible, in the Calendar view, click the box next to your name to toggle this view. The link to your exam will be in your calendar entry. If you start the exam late, you will have less time to complete it.

Submitting your LMS Cadmus exam

If you are completing a time limited assessment and your time is up, you will be automatically redirected to the submission page. Otherwise, you will need to submit your assignment prior to the due date by clicking submit in the top right corner.

If you submit your exam after the Cadmus final due date and time, your exam will be marked as late. Your exam will be available for 30 minutes after the due date and time to allow you to submit it late if you need. Once this additional 30 minutes has passed, you will no longer be able to access your exam in the LMS.

Prior to the Cadmus final due date, you can resubmit as many times as you like. However, you can't resubmit after the final due date or time limit unless you have not submitted any version of your exam yet.

Cadmus will display a submission confirmation on your screen. This confirmation will also be emailed to you, along with a submission confirmation code.

Below are some screenshots of how to submit the assignment.
