After your graduation ceremony

After your graduation ceremony, there are a few things you can do on the day and months ahead to ensure you are ready to continue with the next stage of your journey as a member of the global alumni community.

Return your graduation regalia

Regalia must be returned to the collection point within two hours after the conclusion of your ceremony. If you do not return your regalia on time, you may also be invoiced with a $300 replacement fee.

Receive your academic statements

When you graduate, along with your original hard copy of your graduation certificate (‘testamur’), you will receive free of charge access via My eQuals to certified digital copies of your academic statements, including:

  • Academic transcript (with your conferral date included)
  • Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)
  • Testamur (otherwise known as graduation certificate)

You will receive an email from My eQuals when your documents are available – generally within five business days of your graduation. If it is your first time using My eQuals, make sure you visit about My eQuals page to learn how you can have ongoing access to the service.

Additional statements

If you need additional hard copies of your transcript or AHEGS, or other types of academic statements, you can purchase these using the eCommerce website.

Purchase your graduation video

Each graduation ceremony is livestreamed. You can purchase a copy of your graduation video on our online store.

Prepare for the deletion of your student account

Your student account will be deleted around 12 months of completing your studies - this includes your student email. It’s important to transition to your alumni email address early, and back up your email data to avoid losing important notifications. Find out how to prepare.
