COVID-19 study overseas information

The University has updated its current travel advice due to COVID-19. Study abroad and exchange is currently cancelled for Semester 2, 2021 as global student travel has been suspended until 31 October 2021, exceptions are in place for activities in New Zealand due to the Trans-Tasman Travel bubble. 2021 Programs

Outbound programs

Student travel activities have been suspended until 31 October 2021. Students with exchange applications for Semester 2, 2021 have been contacted by the Global Learning team on 10 March – please check your junk folder.

Applications for exchange in Semester 1, 2022 are now closed. Applications for exchange in Semester 2, 2022 will open in late September 2021.

Inbound programs

The University is unable to receive exchange and study abroad students for Semester 2, 2021. If you have an application for Semester 2, 2021, the Global Learning team will be in contact with your home institution.

If you’re in Australia on an exchange program

Students who are continuing exchange studies in Melbourne are encouraged to maintain regular contact with their Global Learning advisors and access social activities taking place on the Global Learning Engagement Hub. We also strongly encourage students to keep in close contact with family and friends at home and their home institution. Students needing assistance can make an appointment to speak with or live chat their Global Learning advisor.
