About Intro to Course Planning sessions

Attending a session will help you feel confident about your study choices and enrol on time. You need to plan and enrol in first-year subjects before the enrolment lapse date listed in your offer letter.

Choose from information or open format sessions designed to provide flexible support. Both general and course-specific sessions are available.

Open sessions offer a relaxed drop-in format with:

  • Practical demonstrations
  • Extended Q and A opportunities
  • Flexibility to attend as many sessions as you need.

Information sessions cover all the essentials, including:

  • Course requirements
  • First-year subject selection
  • Enrolment, and class registration.

How to register

Login with your student account to explore the available sessions. Sessions are running from 11 June to 16 July 2026.

Register for a session

Keep preparing before your session

You don't need to wait until after your session before taking the next steps. In fact, you'll get the most out of your session if you keep preparing and are familiar with course planning terms and resources.

Recordings

Watch a recording
We'll publish recordings of previous sessions on this page when available. Watching ahead of a live session can help you participate more in the Q and A.

Key terms

Learn the key terms
Learn about majors, minors, specialisations, breadth and many other terms to help you understand your course.

Course plan

Map out your course plan
Each course has specific requirements. Course planning is about understanding how to choose the options that match your interests and goals while also meeting these requirements.

Enrol

Enrol if you feel ready
You can explore the enrolment process before your Intro to Course Planning session takes place. Enrolling in a subject will mean you're officially registered to study, and you can always change your choices later.

Session recordings

Watching before your session can also help you prepare. It's also a good alternative if you can’t attend.

We're currently updating our recordings to reflect a system change. We'll add recordings here once they're ready.

  • If you can't attend, we encourage you to watch a recording. Information session recordings will be made available on this webpage.

  • You’re encouraged to attend even if you have already enrolled. Your session will be a good opportunity to confirm your understanding of your course requirements and ask questions about your enrolment choices.
