The MCCs are being held on campus during Melbourne Orientation only.

You can only attend your course-specific MCC, and only undergraduate commencing students are invited to attend.

The MCCs are a free event, including food trucks and an exclusive hoodie available to those students who register and attend.

The MCCs are an invitation-only event, only for commencing undergraduate students. No guests or family members may attend with you.

There is no dress code. However, the MCCs will be held outside, and we recommend being mindful of the weather and using suitable sun protection.

The 2025 MCCs are sustainable events. The event is plastic bottle–free, so please bring along your own water bottle to refill at our hydration stations. You may also wish to bring along a small bag to hold your belongings.

This event is specifically for undergraduate commencing students only and has been designed to welcome new students.

If you are transferring to an undergraduate course at the University of Melbourne from another institution, please register for the MCC that corresponds to your course.
Hoodie collection

Course-specific hoodies will only be made available to those who attend their MCC. You will receive instructions on how to collect your hoodie once you are inside the venue. The hoodies are labelled with your specific undergraduate degree.

If you cannot attend your MCC, you can send someone to your ceremony in your absence. You will not be able to collect your hoodie at a later date.
Please ensure that this person:
- has a copy of your unique QR code delivered in your registration email
- has a message from yourself that they are authorised to collect on your behalf
- ensure your mobile phone details are up to date as you may be called to authorise the pickup.
