In week 12, Cinema of the Senses we will be hosting an embodied screening of Gaspar Noè's 2018 psycho-horror Climax. The horror film will be a part of our three-genre selection, where we aim to explore the affect of fear on the body.

The film follows a dance group from France who decide to celebrate after a successful rehearsal. As time dwindles on, they soon realise that their drinks have been spiked. Working like clockwork, the film transforms into a dissociative nightmare where reality begins to slip, and morality begins to fade.

This film will be accompanied by free refreshments and will include other sensory experiences that bring the spectatorship experience of Climax to a new height. Climax will serve as our final screening of Cinema of The Senses and is free to all university students to attend.

Please note this film contains violence, nudity and drug use that may be harmful or traumatising.
