Common questions

  • How do I obtain a copy of my Academic Transcript?

You can purchase a digital copy of your official academic transcript through my.unimelb. You'll be emailed a link to access your transcript in My eQuals within 1-2 hours after purchase.

If you no longer have access to your student account, you can purchase a digital or hardcopy transcript via eCommerce, which can take up to 15 business days to process. You’re also welcome to book an appointment at Stop 1 to purchase a hardcopy academic transcript.

If you’re a graduating student, you’ll automatically be issued with two free digital copies of your academic transcript when you complete your course and are conferred.

If you require an unofficial version of academic transcript, you can also download your free Statement of Results via my.unimelb.

  • How can I get a University of Melbourne qualification verified?

Organisations can verify your University of Melbourne qualification/s by:

    * Using the free online Verification of Qualification service. This service allows anyone to check if someone has completed a degree at the University of Melbourne and lists the name of the qualification/s and the year it was conferred.

    * Ordering a Verification of Qualification letter through eCommerce. Third parties must provide documentation confirming a student’s consent as part of the order.

    * Receiving digital statements shared via My eQuals. You can find instructions on how to safely share your academic statements here.

  • What is a Certified Copy (of an Academic Statement)?

A certified copy is a photocopy of an original document that's been endorsed as a true copy of that document. It doesn't certify that the original document is genuine, only that it’s a true copy of the original.

You can find a list of people authorised to certify copies of original documents on the Justice webpage. Further information can be found here.
