Under 18 International Student Supervision Program fees
Students who participate in the Under 18 International Student Supervision Program are required to pay an administration fee and weekly supervision fees.
Fees
The program fees cover welfare and accommodation checks, group activities and tailored advice for students registered in the Under 18 International Student Supervision Program.

How to calculate your total fee amount
As well as the administration fee, you need to pay a weekly supervision fee for each week you're in Australia until you turn 18.
Your weekly fee is based on a calendar week, starting on a Sunday:
- If you arrive in the middle of a week, you need to pay the fee for that week.
- If you turn 18 in the middle of a week, you need to pay the fee for that week.
- If you turn 18 on a Sunday (i.e the first day of the week), you do not need to pay the fee for that week.
Calculate the number of weeks from when you arrive in Australia until the week you turn 18.
Examples A:
Student A arrives in Australia on Sunday, 22 February 2026, and turns 18 on Sunday, 16 March 2026.
Student A needs to pay fees for three weeks of supervision – from the week beginning Sunday, 22 February 2026, to the week ending Saturday, 15 March 2026.
Example B:
Student B arrives one day earlier, on Saturday, 21 February 2026, and turns 18 on Sunday, 16 March 2026.
Student B needs to pay fees for four weeks of supervision. As they arrived on a Saturday, that week must be included in their calculation.
How to make a payment
You must pay the full fee amount for your total time in the program when you apply.
To make a payment:
- Go to the University of Melbourne Online Store.
- Click "Add to Cart" for both the UNDER 18 SUPERVISION – Administrative Fee and the UNDER 18 SUPERVISION – Weekly Fee.
- Select your shopping cart by clicking on the trolley in the top-right corner, and change the Weekly Fee quantity to the number of weeks you will be in the program.
- Click CHECK OUT and follow the prompts to complete your payment.
Once payment is complete, a receipt will be sent to your nominated email address. Confirmation of payment is automatically sent to the Under 18 International Student Supervision Program.
We cannot process your application until the correct payment is made.
