This Group Counselling Journey is facilitated by CAPS counsellors. Across six weekly 1.5-hour sessions, you will learn to cultivate self-compassion and connect with other students in a supportive environment.

Through guided meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussions and home practices, you will explore practical ways to respond to difficult emotions, motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism, and build more satisfying relationships.

In a small, supportive group, you will:

  • Learn what self-compassion is and why it supports mental health and wellbeing
  • Practise mindfulness and self-compassion exercises to respond to difficult emotions
  • Explore how to work with your inner critic and motivate yourself with encouragement rather than self-judgement
  • Learn strategies to bring more kindness and balance into your relationships.

To get the most from the program, you need to attend all 6 sessions and be willing to complete home practice between sessions.
