3. Complete your application

Be aware of important deadlines and follow the steps to submit your concurrent diploma application.

How to apply

  1. Log into my.unimelb and navigate to the Student admin tab.
  2. Click Enrolment at the top of the page.
  3. Under Applications and Offers, select Track and apply for another University of Melbourne Course.
  4. Select the Add new button and follow the prompts.
  5. Attach your completed course map to your application.
    • If you are a graduate student, you must also submit your written confirmation from your Course Coordinator.
    • If you are applying for a Diploma in Languages, you must also submit your Language Placement Test results (if applicable).
  6. Submit your application.

Important: you should not be creating a new student ID. Please ensure that applications are submitted under your current student ID.

Diploma in Mathematical Sciences

  • Applications open: Monday 10 November 2025
  • Applications close: Monday 8 December 2025

Diploma in Computing, Diploma in Languages & Diploma in Music

Diploma in Music applicants: Students intending to enrol in Practical Music 1 (MUSI10220) must submit a recorded audition via: https://vcamcm.slideroom.com/ by Sunday 15 February 2026. Please check audition requirements and submit your recorded audition via the audition form. Students approved to enrol in Practical Music 1 (MUSI10220) will need to attend pre-semester activities during Orientation 2026.

Diploma in Mathematical Sciences

Diploma in Mathematical Sciences

Application outcomes

Diploma in Languages, Diploma in Computing and Diploma in Music: 

Provided you meet the eligibility requirements for the diploma you’re applying for, we aim to notify you of your application outcome via your student email within 5 business days.

Your application turnaround may exceed 5 working days if:

  • You are still enrolled into a subject which needs to be passed before meeting eligibility requirements (e.g. D-COMP applicants enrolled in COMP10001)
    • We will place your application on hold until results are finalised
  • Your application requires further approval e.g. your first language subject is a mid-year subject and a variation to the standard course structure is required
    • We will seek approval on your behalf and place your application on hold until we receive a response.

Diploma in Mathematical Sciences:

Application outcomes for the Diploma in Mathematical Sciences will be issued 15 working days following the application closing dates.
