Step 1: Accept your offer

To accept your offer, you will need to complete and submit the online Student Acceptance and Payment Agreement form.

If your offer is conditional, then you'll need to meet the conditions in your offer letter by uploading the required documentation when submitting your online acceptance form. Please follow the instructions in your conditional offer letter to meet these conditions and ensure you accept your conditional offer by the due date.

Complete your agreement

The International Student Acceptance and Payment Agreement is a contract between you and the University. You will need to complete and return the agreement to receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

To accept your offer, you must:

1. Complete the acceptance agreement

Complete the online Acceptance and Payment Agreement form. The link to the online form is contained in your offer letter.

2. Choose your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

Maintaining private health insurance while in Australia is a visa condition for International student visa holders. Bupa is the University of Melbourne’s preferred Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) insurance provider, offering a policy that is designed for international students. You will benefit from having a Bupa representative on campus to answer your health cover questions. The policy is approved by the Department of Home Affairs and can be the most convenient option for students. Review the policy details (PDF 64.8 KB) to check whether this policy is right for you.

To arrange this cover, simply indicate when completing your online Student Acceptance and Payment Agreement form that you'd like the University to arrange a visa-length OSHC policy for you. You'll also need to pay the OSHC premium along with any required tuition fees.

Further details can be found on our Overseas Student Health Cover page, or on your offer letter.

3. If you’re a Study Abroad student, pay your tuition fees

You’ll pay a set fee for each semester you’re at the University regardless of how many subjects you’re enrolled in.

  • Some Study Abroad students need to pay tuition fees. Your offer letter and the online Acceptance form will indicate the amount you need to pay in order to accept your offer. Your initial fee payment is the full amount for one semester’s study abroad and is due when you accept your offer. Check the tuition fees for more information.
  • If you are a Study Abroad student whose tuition fees and/or OSHC payment are billed to your home institution or consortia group, proceed to Step 4.
  • If you are unsure whether or not you need to pay tuition fees, please contact your Study Abroad or Exchange Coordinator at your home university.

4. Complete and submit the online Acceptance and Payment Agreement form

Submit the online Acceptance form by accessing the link contained in your offer letter by the due date stated in your offer letter, along with uploading the following documents:

  1. Evidence of tuition fee payment (if required).
