Step 2: Accept your offer

Follow these steps to accept your offer and confirm your place at UniMelb.

Important: Graduate Degree Package (GDP) offer acceptance
If you accepted an offer in December but have now received a January GDP offer you want to accept instead, you’ll need to submit an enquiry so we can process your acceptance for you. If you did not already accept an offer, you can follow the Get Started steps to complete your acceptance.

Accepting your offer information

To accept your offer and complete your administrative enrolment, you will need your:

  • Offer letter/email.
  • Student ID number. This can be found on your offer letter.
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI). A USI is a government-issued reference code which uniquely identifies you as someone who has undertaken education or training in Australia.
    If you're an Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, please see our important information on obtaining a USI and taking up a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).
  • Tax File Number. If you wish to apply for fee assistance from the Australian Government (HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP , SA-HELP) you will need to provide your Tax File Number (TFN). Don't have a tax file number?
  • Bank account details (if you will be receiving scholarship payments).
  • Emergency contact details.
  • Proof of citizenship. The Federal Government requires that you provide proof of your citizenship. This can be done using one of the following:
    • Australian citizens:
      • Australian birth certificate
      • Australian passport
      • Certificate of Australian Citizenship
      • Certificate of Citizenship by Descent or Confirmation of Aboriginality.
    • New Zealand citizens:
      • New Zealand passport
      • New Zealand birth certificate.
    • Australian permanent residents:
      • Passport with Australian permanent resident visa.

Don't have a Tax File Number?

You can still accept your offer without a TFN by completing the Request for Commonwealth Support form. For more information on applying for a TFN and fee assistance, visit our FAQ.

Important login instructions

After clicking Accept your offer, you will be directed to the Course Enrolment login page. If you have already set up your student account and single sign-on (SSO), you are considered a current student. To accept your offer, please log in using the 'click here' link under the 'Complete as a current student or recent graduate' section.

Conditional offer information

If your offer is conditional, then you'll need to meet the conditions in your offer letter before you will receive an unconditional offer letter and can complete your enrolment online as below. Please follow the instructions in your conditional offer letter to meet these conditions and ensure you accept your conditional offer by the due date.
