Your academic transcript is the official academic record of your studies at the University of Melbourne.

When you graduate, you receive free digital copies of your:

You may need to provide your official academic records:

  • If a company or employer asks for proof of your enrolment
  • To register with an overseas professional accreditation body, government, DFAT or global verification agencies
  • When applying for further study at other universities.

Ordering an academic transcript

An academic transcript is an official record of your full academic history. It cannot be altered or amended unless an error has occurred.

  • You will receive two free digital transcripts:

    1. Upon course completion (1-2 hours after your enrolment status shows as 'complete' or 'passed' in my.unimelb and before your conferral)
    2. On your conferral date

    No ordering is required. One your transcript is ready, you will be emailed a link to it in My eQuals.

    How to order: Log in, via OKTA, to eCommerce. Once your order is complete, you will be emailed a link to the document in My eQuals.

    How to order:

    • Order via Stop 1
      Drop-in to Stop 1 during opening hours and join the Documents, Keys and Thesis Celebration queue to purchase in-person.
    • Order online
      via eCommerce. Processing will take10-15 working days plus 1-3 weeks shipping.

    Note: If you order multiple copies of hardcopy academic transcript, in the same order, to be posted to the same address in the same envelope, the cost of the additional orders is $5 a copy).

Study abroad and global program students

  • You will receive a free digital academic transcript on completion of your studies via an email link to your student email account.

  • Many partner institutions will send an academic transcript to the University of Melbourne automatically at the end of your overseas study, or (for some institutions) at the end of their academic year. However, there are some universities that require you to order the transcript yourself before you complete your overseas study. If the host institution sends the transcript straight to you, please provide the original document to the Global Learning team for processing.

    • Hard-copy documents should be brought in-person to Stop 1; to do so, book an appointment for 'Documents, keys, thesis celebrations'.
    • Digital documents should be provided by submitting an enquiry to the Global Learning team.
