Preventing Sexual Misconduct is a mandatory eLearning module for all commencing coursework students. A PSM sanction is applied to your account if you did not complete the module by Monday 23 November 2026. The PSM sanction blocks access to your subject results.
To have the sanction removed, you must complete the module and score 100% on each quiz. You can review the content and attempt each quiz as many times as needed.
Once you have achieved 100% on each quiz, the PSM sanction will be removed from your record within 1–2 business days.
Further information about the purpose of the module and how to complete it is available here. Preventing Sexual Misconduct is mandatory for all students; however, exemptions are available in certain circumstances.

When you use your study plan in my.unimelb for the first time, you should see the majors, minors, specialisations and subject options available for your course.
If you can only see your course title and no study options, your study plan may not have been expanded yet. The University will normally expand your study plan within two working days of you being admitted to your course.
Once this has been completed, you'll be able to plan and enrol in subjects.
To add subjects to your study plan:
- Log in to my.unimelb.
- Select Student admin > Enrolments > Manage my current enrolment.
- Navigate to My Study > Academic History > Manage my course.
- Open your course overview and select Manage my course.
- Expand the relevant course component and select the area marked with a yellow "!" alert icon.
- Find the subject you want and tick the grey box to select it.
- Click Add to plan.
- You should see a blue "!" next to your subject, confirming it has been added as planned.
If your study plan is still empty more than two working days after admission, submit an Enrolment Assistance Form and we'll investigate the issue.

If you are a commencing student or you have not yet enrolled in any major/minor/specialisation subjects, you should be able to make this change yourself via your study plan.
If you have already passed subjects under your major/minor/specialisation and can’t make the change yourself, please submit an Enrolment Assistance Form using the button below. The Enrolment team will check your eligibility based on the space available in your study plan.
Before you try to change your major, make sure you have checked the requirements in the Handbook to confirm that you can meet course rules and subject pre-requisites.
