The University of Melbourne is committed to providing our students with the support and resources required to assist them to be successful in their studies.

Identifying students for support

The University monitors student progression and performance to identify students that may need support in accordance with the:

Students identified as needing individual support during a teaching period may also be contacted through the Student Outreach and Referral (SOAR) service.

Registering for ongoing support

Students may register for ongoing support from the University when an ongoing circumstance or an official commitment affects their ability to perform their studies and assessment tasks, and the expected duration is longer than six weeks.
