Apply to the University of Melbourne to study overseas.

3. Get your application approved
After you've submitted your application, the University of Melbourne will assess it for approval.

4. Apply to your host institution
Get approval for the subjects you wish to take.

5. Get accepted by your host
Be sure to tell us once your host institution accepts.

6. Get ready to go
Start planning the trip itself.

8. Transfer your credit
Once you're back, make sure it’s counted towards your degree.
Application deadlines for global semester programs
You will need to start planning your global semester approximately 6–12 months prior to when you would like your experience to commence.
When to apply:
- Semester 1 commencing programs: June of the year prior
- Semester 2 commencing programs: November of the year prior
- Refer to the published application deadlines for the current round.
