Tuition fee deposit refunds
When and how international fee-paying students can apply for a deposit refund.
Can I get my deposit back?
This page outlines tuition fee deposit refund eligibility for commencing international fee-paying students who accepted an offer on or after 1 July 2026 and paid a tuition fee deposit.
You may be eligible for a partial or full refund if you meet the requirements set out in the Tuition Fee Terms and Conditions that you agreed to when accepting your offer. This includes notifying us by the entitlement deadlines listed below, and not engaging in any fraudulent conduct.

How long do refunds take?
After you submit your application, you'll receive an automated email confirming we've received it.
Refunds are usually processed within 10–15 business days of receiving your application.
Where will my refund be paid to?
We'll refund your payment using the most appropriate method:
- If you paid by credit card, we'll refund the original card where possible.
- If you paid another way, we'll pay the refund by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or telegraphic transfer to the bank account you provide on your refund application.
Refunds are paid in Australian dollars unless international banking requirements state otherwise.
