Fees
-
You can view your fees on your fee statements. Access these on my.unimelb. Go to Student admin > Fees > Access fee statements or Access my Student Invoice.
Three main statements are available:
- Statement of Liability: Shows your unpaid fees for the calendar year.
- Student Invoice: Shows the fees you owe for the current billing period as at the issue date.
- Fee Account Statement: Records all fee transactions, including payments and charges.
After enrolling in subjects, view your Statement of Liability in my.unimelb to check your fees and upcoming payment due dates. You can generate it at any time. It updates immediately when your enrolment changes.

If you withdraw from or swap a subject before its census date, the fees for the withdrawn subject are cancelled. Any fees you’ve already paid will be credited to your student account and appear on your Fee Account Statement. If you have other fees due, the credit will be used towards them. Otherwise, you can keep the credit for future fees or apply for a refund.
After the census date, you remain responsible for those fees and payments already made will not be refunded.
Check your subject’s census date before changing your enrolment.

If you pay within seven days of the published due date, you will not incur a late payment penalty fee. Apply for a fee date extension if you expect a longer delay.
Your application will need to demonstrate financial hardship or exceptional unforeseen circumstances.
Fee date extension does not apply to students in a Commonwealth supported place.

You can pay the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) upfront or defer it through an SA-HELP loan if eligible.
To pay upfront, use the payment options provided on your fee invoices and statements.
If eligible to defer, follow the instructions to apply for a HELP loan. You must apply before your SSAF debt incurral date to avoid paying upfront.
