Student Invoice
A fee document that shows your fees due for the billing period.
About this fee document
Your student invoice shows the fees you owe for the current billing period. The billing period runs from the date of issue to the fee due date.
You can use your invoice to:
- Check what fees you owe for the billing period
- Find out when your billed fees are due
- Check your census / incurral dates
- Confirm if you have any amounts in credit
- Make a payment.
Access this document
Your latest invoice will be sent to your student email account four to five weeks before the payment due date(s). Make sure you regularly check your email and access your invoice as soon as you receive it.
View the document on my.unimelb after initial release
- Log into my.unimelb
- Go to Student admin > Fees
- Click Access my Student Invoice
- Select the Communications tab and view the required communication
- You can then view your recently issued Student Invoices.
Enrolment changes and reissuing invoices
We will only reissue it if you enrol in more subjects during the billing period.
If you change your enrolment, your invoice may no longer accurately reflect the fees you owe for that period. Once you have finalised your enrolment, generate a Statement of Liability to view the fees that apply.
If your fees are sponsored
You will not receive student invoices. We will bill your sponsor for your tuition fees, and your Fee Account Statement will show the amount billed. Seeing this amount does not mean your sponsor has paid.
If your sponsor does not pay on time, we'll contact you, and you'll need to pay any unpaid fees.
What to check on this document
- Your details: Your name, Student ID, billing period and invoice issue date
- Itemised fees: What you’re being charged for and whether each fee is mandatory or optional. Note, optional fees will show as $0.00 owing because you do not need to pay upfront
- Due dates: When each fee must be paid. Don't confuse it with the census/incurral date, which is the date your fee becomes non-refundable and the due date for optional fees. Learn more about fee due dates
- Credits: Whether any credits have reduced the amount you owe. Credit/receipted amounts may show for a few days while we’re allocating your payments
- Amount owing: The mandatory amount due is the total you need to pay, after any credits have been applied
- Payment methods: Check the reference details before paying, as they may change and ensure your payment is allocated correctly. Learn more about payment methods.
